I've had this product in my car for 3 weeks now. I was worried about purchasing due to the top two reviews who claimed it had a toxic smell. Due to those I almost did not purchase, but I'm glad I did. The product did have a nylon/plastic smell when first removed from the box, but I didn't even notice it after taking the first trip with it in and the windows down. The product is super simple to use, and is very easy to remove and reinstall for different guests (human or dog).
